Claire Kennedy-Wilkins is an Attorney of Counsel at Springer Ayeni, A Professional Law Corporation. Claire has devoted her legal career to representing employees in ERISA cases; she first started working on ERISA cases during law school. After spending a year serving as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Irma E. Gonzalez (Ret.) of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, she then joined a Bay Area plaintiff-side ERISA law firm. In her present position at Springer Ayeni, she handles ERISA disability, medical, and life insurance benefit claims, and has developed expertise in handling “requests for review,” or “administrative appeals” of denied ERISA disability benefit claims.
She serves as co-chair of the Employment Discrimination Subcommittee of the American Bar Association (ABA) / Labor & Employment Law’s Employee Benefits Committee. She is also a contributing author to the ABA/Bloomberg Law Employee Benefits Law treatise and has written articles on employee benefits. Claire particularly enjoys guiding clients through the often daunting and unfamiliar world of insurance company claims by putting them at ease with the process and providing them with experienced legal representation.
